Seit 2020 komponiert sie Original-Scores für moderne TV und Streaming Serien wie z.B. PERFEKT VERPASST (Amazon Prime), START THE FCK UP (ZDF), ETHNO (WDR/ARD) und WILSBERG (ZDF).
Am 10. Juni 2026 feierte die YA Comedy Serie MERMAIDS TO LOVERS produziert von Warner Bros. ITVP für RTL+ Premiere auf dem Seriencamp Cologne. Das dazugehörige Score Album ist ebenfalls im Juni 2026 erschienen und auf allen Streamingplattformen erhältlich.
Im Dezember 2026 erscheint Ihr Orchesterstück „Shape ONE", aufgenommen mit dem Deutschen Filmorchester Babelsberg und aktuell arbeitet sie an einem neuen Projekt zusammen mit UFA FICTION.
Obwohl sie nach der Schule mit dem Gedanken spielte, Kamerafrau zu werden, studierte sie Jazzsaxophone, sowie Klarinette// Querflöte // Klavier an der Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen, zog später nach Berlin und spielte dort in zahlreichen Ensembles zwischen Jazz, Klassik und Avantgarde. Sie war Preisträgerin von „Jazzwerkruhr“ , sowie Stipendiatin des "Banff Centre for arts & creativity" in Kanada, Stipendiatin der GVL und Stipendiatin der „Initiative Musik“.
In ihrer Arbeit spiegelt sich ihr Background aus Neoklassik, Jazz und Urban Funk wieder und Ihre Kompositionen zeichnen sich durch weite, kraftvolle melodische Themen, texturalen Sound Minimalismus und energiegeladene Rhythmen aus, die sie für akustische und synthetische Instrumente arrangiert.
Natalie Hausmann is a Cologne-based composer for film music and theatre and an award-winning jazz musician. Since 2020 she has composed original scores for modern TV series including the Amazon Prime Original „Perfekt Verpasst" (The perfect Miss) and TV series like "Start the fck up", "ETHNO", as well as crime dramas like „Wilsberg"
Recently the YA Comedy series „MERMAIDS TO LOVERS" ( Warner Bros. ITVP for RTL+) has its premiere in June `26 @ Seriencamp, Cologne. The Original Score Album for this series was also released in June `26.In Winter `26 her orchestral piece „Shape ONE", recorded with „Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg" will have its release and currently she is working with UFA FICTION.
Although she considered studying Cinematography after school, she followed her overall passion for music, graduating with a Master's degree in jazz saxophone, piano and woodwinds at Folkwang University of Arts, Germany. Afterwards she was moving to Berlin, playing there in dozens of ensembles between Jazz, Pop, Classical music and Avantgarde.
She was also winner of „ jazzwerk ruhr" and scholarship holder for „The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity", Canada , the "GVL" and the „ Initiative Musik"Her score is characterised by strong and wide melodic themes, textured minimalism and energetic rhythms arranged for acoustic & synthetic instruments. During her film music journey she deeply fell in love with acoustic strings and felt piano, as well as sample-based HipHop and modern Synth Soundscapes. Her jazz background is always accompanying her in terms of approach and sound quality.
